GUIDELINES FOR UTILIZING

THE OFFICE OF DISABILITY SERVICES TESTING CENTER:

For students needing extended time to complete tests and exams, the Office of Disability Services (ODS) operates a Testing Center. Faculty may have exams sent to the Center where students can complete them in a quiet setting with extended time. The Center also comes equipped with laptop computers and adaptive software.

STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING A REQUEST FOR TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL EXAM.

UTILIZATION OF THE TESTING CENTER

UTILIZING E-MAIL: Faculty may request to send a copy of the exam via e-mail to allow for more convenient test accommodations. Students can complete the test using a laptop, and the completed test can be returned to the faculty member via e-mail by request. An "application for proctor form" must still be utilized when e-mailing exams to document items permissible during the exam and exam date.

CHANGES/CANCELLATIONS OF EXAMS:

Once a test date and time is scheduled, a student must attend a scheduled exam once arrangements have been made. ODS cannot extend or delay a test date without permission from the faculty member teaching the course. If a student fails to attend a scheduled test date, the exam will immediately be returned to the course instructor.
