MY OWN BOOKSHELF
This software walks you through the process of
making books page by page. Start in DESIGN
mode by inserting your own pictures–use clip art,
drawn graphics, movies or pictures taken with a
digital camera! Then, add your text. Finish by letting
your students narrate their own story, or allow the
computer to read using synthesized speech. .
Print them out or listen to them again and again
with My Own Bookshelf’s BOOK READER (the
READER can be installed on an unlimited number
of computers).

My Own Bookshelf is a great tool to help motivate
your students to write. Speech therapists can also
use this program to foster the development of
expressive language skills. A great tool for creating
class story books too–show parents what
happened on the last class trip or at field day!
